Are you interested in women's issues? Would you like the opportunity to raise awareness, voice your ideas and play a role in making services for women more responsive? We are looking for women with life experience - women like you.

In order to support the involvement of women in health & welfare issues,GLADA is setting up a women's advisory body; to influence, advise and inform on the various issues important to women affected by drugs and alcohol in London.

Creating A Women's Body of Experience and Expertise for London

The insights and experiences gained by women who journey through the drug and alcohol, legal and social care systems are an important resource which can help shape and improve policies and responses that affect women, both now and in the future. GLADA aims to draw attention to the issues affecting women in London by supporting the formation of a group. A body of women's experience, to offer new ideas, advice and solutions, raising & presenting issues, and being part of the process of change. Help bring women’s issues to the forefront - and be supported while your doing it. An excellent opportunity to train, network with other women, get your ideas across and potentially to influence change.

Recruiting London's Women

GLADA is aiming to recruit a group of women with diverse experience and backgrounds to form a strong body of expertise and ideas - particularly those with personal knowledge of;

o Drug/Alcohol use

o Drug/Alcohol Treatment

o Criminal Justice System / services

o Domestic and other violence

o Sex Industry / work

In return for your commitment;

GLADA will offer practical support to the group and will assist the women in developing:
o Opportunities to influence regional developments in the drug and alcohol sector.
o Opportunities to be involved in interesting projects and research that are women focused and London based.
o Training and re-skilling opportunities to meet and support both individual and group needs.
o Full expenses including childcare costs.
Looking for women who are interested in and committed to women’s issues.
